At first I was really confused about the headline but after reading the article I can painfully realize that yeah :/ my family was real awkward too about sex scenes and about sex in general.

• As there was no one that I could really talk to without looking sex-crazed when I was really just asking for help; sex was really awkward with my ex(s) (SOs at the time).

Gonna be real though, it’s a mountain of an uphill battle if you’re looking to normalize sex and sex talk/help here in North America as the culture here is the duality in:

• shaming people in talking about it/asking for help and
• being shocked and appalled that some are new/uninformed about it.
  • For those unaware/uninformed: sex in porn is completely made up and sets up completely unrealistic expectations.

Regardless I think articles like this are still great as it provides stepping stones for breaking this needless stigma.👍
