Chick fil A has a bad rep, and they have rightfully earned it. I am fortunate to live in a town where the local Chick fil A is actually run by a compassionate man, who puts his employees and community first and I am proud to support him and his restaurant, even as I boycott the chain because he hires gay and transgender employees, he pays his employees very well, and when his store was shutdown a few years ago for a major remodel he kept his entire workforce on payroll and paid them their regular hourly pay for every hour they volunteered within the community. They are also huge donors to our local schools and kids sports programs.
All of that to say that I have seen them handing out extra food to customers, employees leaving after their shifts with bags of food, and it is not uncommon to find these cookies in our town’s ‘Little Free Pantries’.
I don’t know if the clothing should be ‘free’ from these places because they do still process the donations, and I don’t even mind them putting higher prices on items they’ve identified as being worth more… What they shouldn’t be doing is underpaying their employees while corporate leadership is making millions.
That’s not your apartment, that’s her apartment. You are her guest and the fact you are still living there like nothing happened is absolutely baffling.
You watched for 2 hours while 2 guys sexually harassed and abused a woman in her home and you did nothing. Yet you claim that you love this woman? I think the first things you need to do is realize that the feelings you have for her are nowhere near ‘love’. The fact that your concern is what you’re going to tell her parents is pathetic.
Leave. She hates you and sees you as one of her attackers. There’s no repairing this, you’ve destroyed the relationship and you are only making it worse by staying around. Pack your things right now and go. Don’t talk to her, if you must then leave a note, but she doesn’t owe you anything at this point.
Learn from this and try to be a better person in the future.
