I’ve noticed there are a lot of like lifestyle blogger reviews and what not but most of them just accept the word of the companies that advertise zero waste, plastic free or ethical sources of natural materials.

I was checking out the Zero Waste Dish brush kit and it looks reasonable but I can’t find any certification bodies or orgs

It looks definitely harder than organic or free trade to find, but ethical consumer or the TRUE certification rating might be a good place to start.

Being “zero waste” means that we adopt steps towards reducing personal waste and minimizing our environmental impact.

Our community places a major focus on the 5 R’s: refuse, reduce, reuse, recycle, and rot. We practice this by reducing consumption, choosing reusable goods, recycling, composting, and helping each other improve.

We also recognize excess CO₂, other GHG emissions, and general resource usage as waste.
