Definitely.

In this case I had on the music video for the song “Transcendental Cha Cha Cha” which features several lyrics that mention the word “reality.” Probably my kid was just asking the literal meaning of the word but they got distracted before we could discuss it further.

Again, not a bad answer, but I think maybe a bit above a 5 year old.

As I typed this response, they suggested that Santa’s reindeer are able to fly due to magic poop.

That’s a pretty good answer, but I think it might be beyond their desire to process.

My kid just asked me “What does reality mean?”
Nothing in my life has prepared me to answer that question, let alone to a 5-year-old.

I don’t know, they would love that joke.

I would be exhausted of it, but they would love it.

My toddler just told me their first knock knock joke
Them: Knock knock! Me: Who's there? Them: Unicorn. Me: Unicorn who? Them: Unicorn. Unicorn. Stop saying unicorn. edit: Line breaks.

Not 27, but my toddler has been saying they don’t like to blink because it’s dark behind their eyelids.

This has also had an impact when bedtime approaches.
