What are you expecting people to say about this? You’re asking about how to explain to the parents (presumably to make it least uncomfortable for you)?

She’s been subject to a prolonged period of aggressive and threatening sexual harassment in her own house because of you. You own up to what you did wrong and accept the consequences. Do you realise your part in all this? Have you spoken to her about what you can do to help after fucking up so badly (might involve you having to move out). I hope you realise your sexual feelings are irrelevant and likely going to be unwelcome (and possibly threatening) here and should be kept to yourself.

Offer some support now… Because you missed the chance to do something when it counted.

Whenever she’s at our apartment, she either sits down crying quietly to herself

That’s not your apartment, that’s her apartment. You are her guest and the fact you are still living there like nothing happened is absolutely baffling.

You watched for 2 hours while 2 guys sexually harassed and abused a woman in her home and you did nothing. Yet you claim that you love this woman? I think the first things you need to do is realize that the feelings you have for her are nowhere near ‘love’. The fact that your concern is what you’re going to tell her parents is pathetic.

Leave. She hates you and sees you as one of her attackers. There’s no repairing this, you’ve destroyed the relationship and you are only making it worse by staying around. Pack your things right now and go. Don’t talk to her, if you must then leave a note, but she doesn’t owe you anything at this point.

Learn from this and try to be a better person in the future.

Dude, you fucked up extremely by not helping her. The only decent thing to do now it to apologize and move out so she can heal.

I really don’t understand how you could bring your boys over and just sit there letting it happen. You were supposed to be on her side.

What the fuck were you doing while your friends were terrorizing a lifelong friend? Warning: you’ll sound like an asshole no matter what the answer is. You should be ashamed of yourself.

YOU and your friends sexually assaultsed a woman. And now this poor woman has to live with one of her assailants who refuses to leave. WTF is wrong with you.

As her parent, the absolute best I can offer you… is kick you the fuck out of there.

You’re somewhere between a low-key predator and a coward.

This reads similar to other bait stories that have been posted in the past, with different details but similar bullshit. I realize this probably never happened and this is today’s ragebait, but just in case…

Fuck this narcissistic bullshit.

Even now you’re still only thinking about how you can either get in her pants or how to save face with her mom.

You’ve basically stood by, doing nothing, while she was in desperate need of someone who would actually stand up for her while she was being harassed in her own home, half-naked and physically abused by your friends.
She has zero reason to ever trust you.

GTFO of her life, GTFO of here.

I suggest you tell them the truth and be prepared to find somewhere else to live. Whilst you were not directly involved in sexually harassing K, you let it happen and her parents (let alone K) will likely not trust you again for a long time. K will need counselling as she has been seriously traumatised - she’s been sexually harassed in her own home by friends of someone she trusted whilst that person did nothing to stop them. A key place and person she thought were safe have been shown not to be. That’s not going to heal quickly, nor without help.

If you want to try to rebuild the relationship in any way, you’re going to need to do a lot of work and it’s going to take a lot of time. An apology - to her and her parents - is just the first step. You’re also going to need to show that you are not the same as your schoolmates who sexually harassed her. If I were K’s parents, I’d expect you to report those schoolmates to the police and cut ties with them at minimum.
